Reminds the Role of Navy to Malaysian People Aug 27, 2016
Royal Malaysian Navy Museum is rather a modern museum compare to the Melaka Maritime Museum and is just opposite the latter. The museum showcases war weapons, naval equipment, uniforms and some other navigational tools used by the Malaysian navy. There you can also find photographs showing achievements and hierarchy of naval commands, different medals and citations, and training records.

The museum is a clear representation on the important role of Malaysian Navy to the lives of Malaysian people.

As was written on the display there, the museum was originally located at Naval Base in Perak but was transferred to Melaka due to the number of tourists visiting this historical place.

Another attraction there is a huge 16th century Portuguese ship docked beside, and forms part of the museum.
