This place must once have been really really nice. Nowadays it is an ageing but still nice place to stay. A minute from KSR, a couple of minutes from the grand palace gice it a great location. Costing around 1200 THB for a double room with breakfast. It has 24 hour room service, a pool, a chinese restaraunt, a coffee shop, a barber and a travel agent. This is a nice alternative to staying in one of the more upmarket places on KSR and for a little more Baht you get a much nicer experience. Also known as the Ratanakosin hotel. Well worth it.

These days, anyone seeking out something more closely resembling a proper hotel could do far worse than to stay along Sukhumvit Road, and of the two properties I have stayed at along that road, I thought that the Royal Benja hotel definitely had the edge on the Swiss Park Hotel, but both were in adequate locations… Life in an Asian urban megalopolis |
