Royal Gardens Park Nov 07, 2013
Royal Gardens Park is a park few blocks from the Siam Reap center. It is surrounded with some government offices and I saw it while biking back from the Angor Wat so I stopped a bit to see the area and feel the vibe. The most interesting thing about the park are wedding photography sessions that are constantly occupying this park. Little processions are all dressed up in very interesting mix of old and new styles, posing next to the different parts of the park and statues. There is sizable number of beggars in the park so I assume that those processions give them some money on the way. Large stone pool/lake area does not have adequate amount of water but it does not look too bad. In general park is maintained but nothing worth staying and chilling.
