Royal Dublin Hotel
Royal Dublin Hotel Reviews
Dec 08, 2006
This place was one of the best surprises for a hotel Ever!! A friend and I went to Dublin to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in 2006. I did not book thaaaat far in advance, so I am shocked that: -Out hotel was in the best possible location, O Connell Street -It was extraordinarily nice for the price! (appx. 80 or 90 USD through expedia) -The bar staff was fantastic, the people in the bar locals and very friendly, at that! We had just stayed in a rather crappy hotel in London a few days prior and were sharing a small bed I had in my place in Wolverhampton, so to stay here was a luxury! The bathroom was large, marble, clean, fresh, and actually quite luxurious. The rest of the room was surprisingly lovely, with a window bench that someone actually slept on relatively comfortably one night. ( what do you expect? St. Pats in Dublin-bound to get wild! ;) ) Royal Dublin maintained Irish character, paticularly in the pub, but had fresh modern features you probably will enjoy in all reailty, especially if you have been staying in crappy locations beforehand. The reception was friendly, too. Overall, such a great experience at this hotel.
