Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd Uluru - Kata Tjuta Reviews
Sunrise at one of Australia's most famous icons Aug 18, 2009
Sunrise watching at Uluru meant a very early rise in the morning, at 5:00am. At 6:00am we were ready to get on board the bus. Since we would be having another tour after watching the sun rise, we were adviced to bring breakfast and drinks with us.
There was no place we would get food or drinks. Just a restroom area in between the tours. We got on the bus for the drive towards the viewing area and we weren’t the only ones. We were served some orange juice and a couple of biscuits for "breakfast" but not eanrly enough to fill our stomachs. The sun was slowly rising, but wasn’t visible, as the clouds were too dominant in the sky.
The sunrise may not be as spectacular as the sunset on Uluru. But despite that, we still got a good idea of what it would be like. It was worth getting up too so early and not because we had a following tour.
To watch the sunrise itself costs no money, but to get there, you will have to pay for transport, whether you go by (rental) car or bus.
