Spectacular Theater in London Oct 11, 2009
I have only been once in the Royal Albert Hall. This wonderful building is located not far away from Hyde Park.

A brief historical summarize: it was built by Queen Victoria after her husband Albert died and it was inaugurated in 1871. It houses the biggest organ in England.

Lots of live performances are held here and lots of famous band have played here. Concretely, every summer they organise 'The Proms', lots of classical music concerts. It is very cheap to enjoy these concerts seated on the 'Arena'.

Although you don't like classical music, you have to go, because the building will amaze you as much as it amazed me for sure!

The Last Night Of The Proms is meant to be awsome, even if you don't like classical music that much. over the past few years though they have expandeded it a bit, and you will find concerts on the final night in other UK cities linked in live by TV and radio.Think this year it was Glasgow,Cardiff,Belfast and Manchester

Where I was sitting in the park was across from Royal Albert Hall and I noticed a lot of people outside/going indoors. NYU had tickets for the BBC prom tonight (which was why I was in South Kensington in the first place) but they said to meet at 7:00, meaning the show… Day Twenty Three

Did a sightseeing bus tour of London and got to see Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Royal Albert Hall and Harrods etc.  I must admit i felt like a true Londener at Hyde Park - the weather had been pretty miserable on previous days, so since the sun was out, i simply had to sunbake!  Spent a day on a boat… London, take 2

Once we were in the room and settled we went for a walk through Hyde Park and weaved our way down past Royal Albert Hall and then to Harrods. Silly us didnt realise it was a Saturday so Harrods was chockers. So crowded it was awful, so we did our quick shop and left. Walked around Hyde Park (we'd asked some coppers if it was OK to go through… London - day 1

I walked back across the Millennium Bridge to have a look at the Albert Memorial and the Royal Albert Hall before walking back along the Serpentine and up to Marble Arch.  As a keen athlete I was very impressed by the number of people I saw running, not just in Hyde Park but throughout the whole of London and many of them… A Day in London
