Rouen is in Normandy on the Western coast of France. The cathedral in Rouen is arguably one of the most beautiful cathedrals in France, and subject of many of Monet's most famous works of art.

Rouen is also where, in the 15th century, Jeanne d'Arc was burned.

Jeanne D'Arc is everywhere

Tessa and I did a small trip to Rouen for the day. The city is a university town, but is probably best known as the place where Jeanne D'Arc was burnt at the stake for being a witch in 1431. The main street is of course called Rue Jeanne D'Arc and there is a church named after her. All of the churches in Rouen are actually quite spectacular. As a senior trip I went to England, France, Switzerland and Italy with about 40 classmates and 3 teachers. Our trip coincided with the World Cup which made it even more incredible.
