I wanted to go back to Rottnest Island. My first visit last year was way too short. I had taken the Rottnest Express 11.30am ferry and returned at 4pm. Yesterday morning I booked the ticket online, took the first morning ferry from Fremantle at 9.30am and returned with the last one at 4pm. Not much difference really... only 2 hours more, for a total of 5 hours on the island, but at least on this visit I took my own bike so did not have to waste time renting one. It was so pleasant to cycle on...

My mum wanted to travel the west coast of australia for her 50th birthday. So, as expected we decided to pack our bags and jet oursleves over to the ningaloo reef/ coral bay for a weeks getaway. We swam with manta rays and had crystal clear water on our doorstep. We then made our way south towards Perth and made a necessary stopover onto Rottnest Island.. An amazing trip Sorry for the Lack of photos also... I was reliant on my mothers camera until I invested in one of my own recently...

I went to Rottnest island on my day off and although i have been there many times i had never seen it from the air, every time i have been on a flying lesson i have always gone in land and never out to sea and over to Rottnest. I rode my bike to the airport on the island and inquired how much it would cost to get a trip on board the Rottnest air taxi. Rottnest air taxi provides flights from Jandakot airfield to Rottnest island and also scenic flights of varying length around the island...

Initially i wanna travel solo to Perth to pay my aussie a visit, then end up my buddy who interested to go with me.. we've been travel to Europe 2 years ago.. it's fun to travel with her again.. we plans about a month and list out our itinery.. 9Days to cover Perth to down south, i just wanna find a place whereby very relaxing.. so here i come Perth.. time for me to a long break ..

Straight from a work sundowner at little creatures in Fremantle onto a ferry to Rotto! 6 of us there to celebrate Livias birthday! After a BBQ dinner and a lot of drinks, things were underway for a big weekend. Lots of riding, nature, snorkelling, chilling on the beach and climbing lighthouses at night while a little bit boozed. So many quokkas!

The next day we woke up early and caught the ferry from Fremantle to Rottnest Island, an island about 20km off the coast of Fremantle. It wasn't a ferry you could take your car on, as there are no vehicles allowed on the island. Your only mode of transportation on the island is to take the bus or to rent bicycles and explore it yourself.  Andy and I split up from our friends on this day and rented some bikes and headed down the road.  The island was spectacular, around every corner ...

Elise and I headed for the island of Rottnest, only a short ferry ride from Freemantle. It was a great few days of relaxation and gorgeous beaches! It may have been the first time during the trip where I really just totally and completely relaxed. The first two nights we stayed in a hotel which was right on the water.
