This bar is a very special one and even most of frankfurts nightlife freaks dont know about it. From the outside you can't recognize it as a bar, it looks like a normal apartment house - no advertisment, no lights. You just have to go inside the door and theres some guy in a smoking waiting for you to open the next door. At first that seems like a very expensive and unrelaxed place but it isn't.

The bar is very small so in the late hours it might happen that you'll have to wait a while until you get in. They just have to wait until other people leave. If you come early, such as 9pm or 10pm, you should be fine.

Its a very dark place and kinda mysterious, same for their website :-) There are rarely lights and bar stools in this room, so most people will have to stay, but its okay. They have very old and gentle music, like from the twenties or thirties in "old quality", like from a gramophone which gives an awesome atmosphere.

The waiters are kinda special too, they are posh, wear smokings, white gloves, a bow tie and polish every glass before they make your cocktail ;-)

The cocktails and drinks are very good and dont cost much more than in any other bar in frankfurt. I wont say a cocktail for 10€ is cheap but thats sadly the case in almost every bar in Frankfurt if you dont come to happy hour.

As said, theres no advertisment so most people only know it through word of mouth.

You should definately visit it when staying in Frankfurt!
