Vacation from work in a randomly chosen city. It turned out amazing; I'd do it again in a heartbeat. This trip taught me a lot about choosing where to vacation.

I'm been to Europe on a few different occasions, but some of them seem so long ago, it seems easiest just to put the pictures together in one blog.

I remember this day because we only stopped for supplies.  12 hours give or take but I didn't not get to step foot on land, only enough to go up topside to wave to the ground and say so long for the next 218 days of war.

I have been in the Military for 18 years.

This was the route of my first West Pac aboard the USS Acadia AD-42 it was one of the greatest times in my life. I got to see almost the entire Orient.

We ported in Spain and had a little bit of time off from work to enjoy the Country.  Of course after you are paired up with at least 3 people and you don't have duty you can go 'paint the town'  .  We all wanted to do something different, so we did a little bit of everything for the …

We took an 8 weeks vacation across Europe. We started in Spain for 9 days. Then we hit the trains going to Paris, France for one day and night. After that we then went to Frankfurt, Germany to spend the night. Then from there we wound up in Poland to spend the rest of our vacation there. On the way back home we stopped over in London for a night.

  I'm not entirely sure why I had to leave, but something called me back to the States. On the upside, my return flight afforded me my first opportunity to set foot on Portuguese soil.

I'm creating this so I can keep track of my travels from now on!!

Flew from Brunswick Maine to Rota, Spain. It was a little less than 13 hours on a C-130. Can't hear, talk and can barely sleep! Spain is hot. Arrived about 9am.
