Rosamar Puerto Nuevo Reviews
fresh lobsters on the way to Ensenada May 21, 2013
If you love lobster and fresh fish, you have to find a way to Puerto Nuevo, the new port of Baja, California.
This little town lies between Tijuana and Ensenada on the Carretera Libre, in Baja California, Mexico. Just follow either the toll road or the free road south about 15 miles. There are signs on either one to let you know when you have arrived. Still a quaint fishing village, this town is a treasure.
Freshly caught just offshore and quickly prepared to order, it is sublime!
The best place -Rosamar restaurant. This two-story building is well patronized by locals, but not so much by tourists. Amble up to the open-air second floor - you'll be treated to ocean views and fresh lobster at some of the best prices in town. The live lobsters here are so fresh (they come in off the fishing boats each morning) that the restaurant sells its B-list lobsters to other places around town.
They speak a little bit English and don't accept credit cards.
