Roop Resorts. Ram nagar Reviews
Just a resort. Feb 02, 2012
Ram Nagar is the happening place or village outside the Jim Corbett Wild life sanctuary in Uttarkhand 330 Kms north of Delhi where you get a choice of hotels, houses and rest rooms for any price mostly on the exorbitant side though you can bargain it down. This Resort is at Mohaan a village nestled deeper north a bit up but walking distance away from the Kosi river and about 3 Kms away from one of the entrances into the sanctuary. The resort is one among the many such resorts on the banks of the river and unlike the other resorts is landscaped. It cannot be called a jungle resort but is a clean place, quite and well maintained with a nice restaurant. The staff though not professional or knowledgeable in English do manage the show. The rooms are spacious, clean with king size mirror and wardrobe. The bed, linen and towels are clean and new.The toilets are clean and well maintained. The cottage type room has a sit out with a view overlooking the garden.Had the resort been on the banks of the river and the cottages overlooking the river I would definitely bargain for a cheaper rent and visit again but even though there is nothing wrong with this resort I would prefer some other place along the riverbanks.
If you intend booking a jungle safari or elephant ride this resort at Mohaan is not the place as the charges are on the higher side giving you no choice to bargain. Better book your Safari or elephant ride at Ram Nagar for at Mohaan you can only walk along the riverbanks and spend your time at the small village watching the people go about their daily work without much ado.
