Roon Ruang

Ok, this is a great little guesthouse located inside the walled city, literally minutes from the river, the night-market, temples and good bars and restaurants. The room was 400 Baht, including A/C you could have 2 people in there but I was on my own, cheaper rooms with no A/C are available but I was there in April and it was stupid degrees outside. They do breakfast, noodles or 2 fried eggs on toast, for 25 baht each day. They are right opposite a good bar with great food for dinner (goodtimes bar) but you can't hear the music when you want to sleep which is a bonus. The rooms face an inner courtyard where you can park your bikes etc, we were sunbathing on the flat roof. I was there during Songkran and cant think of a better location for waterfight madness. Songthaews run up and down the road if you're not a driver so getting around isn't a problem. Safe and clean. I'll be back.
