This hostel was okay. Its located near the main train station, maybe a 5 minute walk from it. The entrance is a bit sketchy. Its a pretty small hostel, just one floor of the 3rd or 4th floor of a building. The staff are okay, not great. There is one computer that offers free internet. The common area is pretty small, but not bad. There is free breakfast(toast and cereal). The rooms are okay. One of the beds was broken and it was a bit challenging to get to the top bunk. We met some really fun people here though. The bathrooms were...interesting. There was a shower near our room but the 'good' shower was on the other side of the hostel. They were pretty gross, just more reinforcement that the most important thing to bring when backpacking Europe is shower shoes!

The MAJOR reason that I hate this place though is because during the lockout(11am to 4pm) I left out 3 paintings by accident and a bunch of postcards. I didn't think it was a big deal because who would throw that away? How wrong I was. When we came back they were gone and I asked the front desk guy if they were up there and he said no and that they were probably thrown in the garbage! He didn't even apologize. If their policy is if you leave something out they throw it away then that should be clearly stated on a sign somewhere which it was not. So a heres a couple pieces of advice-don't stay here and if you do, don't leave anything in the common area during the lockout! Grr...

Don't even think about it! Jun 30, 2007
DO NOT STAY HERE! It’s as simple as that. This place is a horrible hostel. The staff are very unfriendly and don’t care for peoples belongings. My friend left some paintings on the “common room” table by accident and instead of putting them behind the counter for her to collect later they just threw them in the trash! Who does that? The rooms are not good with the bunk beds practically falling apart. The washrooms were the WORST thing I have ever seen. The one by our room which we were supposed to use was so nasty I wouldn’t have even considered using the shower. The floor was constantly covered in water and mildew and dirt and was just sick. We asked where the “good” bathroom in the hostel was and I wouldn’t exactly say it was “good.” The shower was literately, and I am not exaggerating, a trickle of water and it took about 20 minutes to get the shampoo out of your hair. The common room was one table right beside the check in desk and it was really hard to hang out and relax there. They had 1 computer for internet and no kitchen facilities. The location is right near the train station and not too far of a walk from any of the main attractions but walking from the train station to the hostel the area is really sketchy and I would have been afraid at night. Just don’t stay here if you can help it!
