Great food, great cause Mar 05, 2008
This is a restaurant that is part of an NGO called "Mith Samlanh Friends" which runs a number of non profit restaurants and businesses to train street kids to work in the restaurant and hospitality industries.
It is a beautiful restaurant and wonderfully decorated with dark wood, pleasant colors and potted plants. There is a really interesting selection of food there so it's hard to make a decision. I went for a lotus root chicken salad and coconut smoothie because I wanted something fresh and refreshing. The food was great and the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. It is newer and not as well known as the original restaurant, Friends, but it's popular so you may want to book in advance. Part of the Same Same, But Different - Southeast Asia 2008 travel blog |
