Rogers Centre Reviews
Rogers Center Oct 31, 2009
Home of the MLB Toronto Blue Jays and CFL Toronto Argo's. The NFL's Buffalo Bills also play a few games at Rogers Center each year. Rogers Center was one of the first retractable roof sports stadiums in North America when built. It's quickly becoming dated due to the large number of modern stadiums built over the past 15 years.

Rogers Centre Apr 19, 2009
Opening Day 2009. My second straight year of checking out a Tigers game. Got there early for BP. Nothing really hit close to me, but I was able to see a lot of the players and coaches up close. Sat in row 4 out in left field. Good seats, but you had to sit at an angle to see the batter. Toronto put on a great show. The stadium is amazing...too bad they play on turf. They show a lot of national pride with Canadian Flags everywhere. Cool video of past Toronto highlights. I swear I saw the Joe Carter home run video 20 times while I was there. Fans were loud and knowledgable. They heckled Detroit's LF Anderson. It was hilarious. It started off as 5 people chanting AAANNNDDDERRSOOOOON. Then the entire left field section chimed in. Hilarious. Anderson caught a ball and threw it to us. It was coming right to me, and at the last second someone else grabbed it. Oh man so close. Fun game, my Tigers got whooped. In the 8th as people got more drunk the game was delayed for 10 minutes because fans were throwing stuff on the field. They threw two baseballs at Anderson, and one came within a yard of him. The Tigers walked off the field. THen fans were throwing paper planes from upper deck and cheering them on as they landed. The fans stayed to the end and also did the wave at least 15 times. Great fans Ill tell ya. Overall fun time.

Back to earth we went to the Rogers centre next door to see the Toronto Blue Jays take on Chicago White Sox. The Rogers centre looks quite impressive from the outside but it's superb from within, although it wasn't anywhere near as full as it used to get in the early… Toronto - CN Tower and the Blue-Jays |

…escaped a showing of Dirty Dancing as the only tickets left were restricted viewing and we headed down towards the CN Tower and the Rogers Centre. The CN Tower is incredible. It completely dominates Toronto's skyline and you can't help but gawp at it. We were tempted to go up to the top at that point but the weather wasn't great and the forecast was much… Downtown Toronto |

You have the Rogers Centre (formerly the Skydome). There you can take a tour of this fine stadium. It is both a dome and open concept stadium. The roof opens and closes on control. Hard Rock CafĂ© at the Rogers Center where you get good views of the field… Toronto, Ontario, Canada 2000 |

It's a nice location and not a far walk to the Rogers Centre or CN Tower. Parking at the hotel garage is $40 a day for valet or $20 a day for a block and a half away lot. And that was the closest one. Not to bad, but I glad it was not raining… Our final day in Toronto |

We stayed in room 2045 with a view of the Rogers Centre and CN Tower. The room was clean and decorated nicely and had a Plasma TV also. The beds were extremly comfortable!!! Felt good after a long day of travel. We put our luggage away, cleaned up and it was off to the CN Tower… Welcome to Toronto |
