Rodeway Inn & Suites Madison-Northeast Reviews
Decent stay for a night Oct 13, 2013
So after my initial difficulty of finding the place (I do not travel with a GPS and Hayes is not marked off the main road; plus I must have misunderstood the directions telling me which cardinal direction to go when I called since I ended up ten minutes the wrong way completely before that road ended...), the Rodeway Inn was happily easily located on Hayes.
There is a lot of parking although the closest slots are either handicapped or on enough of a slant that the emergency brake is a good idea.
Check-in was easy and I carried everything upstairs (no elevator but it is only two stories).
This room is a little darker than last night's. However, it has a microwave and mini-fridge, a definite upgrade. The bathroom is still split with the sink to the right when you enter the room and then the toilet and shower in a small room on the left.
I never found a guide to the TV channels but there was a useful guide built in to the flat screen HD TV itself so all was good.
I definitely could hear noise more in this room: the freeway outside and then kids running in the hall. Neither sound was loud enough to interfere with sleeping though :)
There is no pool but the hot tub is a little larger than usual. There are also a few pieces of workout equipment in the same room which I thought was a little awkward.
The continental breakfast was mainly carbs: bagels, mini-doughnuts, cereal, waffles. No fruit or yogurt at least the day I was there. The seating area was a decent size but I did notice a sign asking guests to keep the food in that area, not sure if that was also meant to discourage people from taking food back up to their rooms or just not into the small lobby space.
There is no restaurant at the hotel itself but there were several eateries out on the main road.
