Robbers en van den Hoogen, wine museum Oct 25, 2008
Robbers en van den Hoogen are situated in Arnhem since 1842. That was the moment they started buying and selling wine. In those days the wine company was located at the Rijn, by the family Robbers. This was easy for all the shipments. In 1850 it became an officical compagny. Afterwards the two sisters from the fam. Van den Hoogen took over the compagnie and called it Robbers and van de Hoogen. They bougt Villa Carolinenburg at the Velperweg in 1926. A later generation was not able to produce future generation, so the administrator (Johannes Donders) took over the compagny. And now the fourth generation Donders is running this special wine company.
