Rivierenhof Antwerp Reviews
Antwerp's largest and nicest park Apr 25, 2010
Rivierenhof is Antwerp's largest park and well worth a visit if you've already seen the sights in the city centre. The name, as you may have guessed, means "Rivers garden". So there is a lot of water here, though the river itself, the Schijn, tends to smell bad. Consequently, there are also a lot of water birds here - ducks, swans, etc.
There is one castle, also called Rivierenhof (where you can eat, drink, and see art exhibits), inside the park, and another one, Sterckshof (home of the silver museum), just outside. Besides this there are also several sports fields and an open air theather for concerts in summer.
