Riverview Guesthouse Phnom Penh Reviews
There are better options for the same price Feb 15, 2010
One caveat for this review. The guesthouse had nicer rooms with balconies, but I was put in a room on the second floor that overlooked the reception / travel agency below.
The bathroom was about 3 feet by 2 feet which had a toilet and a cold shower. I had to use the communal sink located downstairs.
There was a very small tv with lots of local and foreign channels. The bed was very uncomfortable, probably the second worst I've ever encountered.
I tried to get my Vietnam visa arranged through them, but they told me to get it in 24 hours it costs US$45. I found a place nearby that did it for US40. This still seemed pricey since I think the embassy does them for $30 but I was trying to get this done during Tet (the chinese new year).
I paid US$15 for the room and found a much nicer place a couple blocks closer to the restaurant and bar area for the same price.
