For a cheap (free) way to enjoy some time away from the urban sprawl and take some time for yourself, you should try getting away at Spokane's Riverside State Park. There's a lot of hiking trails around and some camp sites to enjoy. This place has some great views of the river, with fantastic backdrops of rocks, wildflowers, and in the fall, a stunning array of color spalshed about with all the deciduous trees around. Great for the photographer looking for some unspoiled views or someone looking to just get away for a day or two, this place has a nice, peaceful scene that reminds one how wonderful the silence of nature can be. There's also some horse riding trails around for the horse-riders of the group. Enjoy!
