River House Hotel Mae Sariang Reviews
Beautiful Beautiful Place to stay Dec 26, 2012
Riverhouse- Mae Sariam-1000BHT=Double room inc. breakfast-free choice from menu not brekkie menu. Location is perfect at the end of the main road through Mae Sariang and turn left into a quieter slightly more residential road, but within very easy access to the night markets and day markets.
Very excellent check in, we arrived around 4-5pm after the drive from Chang Mae. Angela was greeted after introducing herself and without even having to state our reservation was told, “Yes we have your room no. 22 and can I please help you with your bags?” Bearing in mind this young lady was probably only just as big as one of our backpacks! After also enquiring where we could park our enormous hired 4x4 we were nicely told we could park in the Riverside resort car park a few meters back along the road.
Once back in the Riverhouse hotel, we were greeted again with smile and a lovely tradional wooden building throughout. We had booked, again, a double bedded room with a beautiful bonus veranda view across the River. The Ensuite was very clean with shower separating the toilet and sink from the rest of the bathroom. Air con and fan were inc. and TV with the usual Thai channels, but no fridge. The views outside made this place a real treat. Bed was very comfortable too.
We were kindly informed times for breakfast and Wifi codes (which was free and worked well all around the building), I spotted a Computer terminal in the main restaurant/open sitting area. Breakfast was included and you can choose from anything off the menu, not just a set breakfast menu. The food here was so good we didn’t even (shamefully) venture out to eat anywhere else during our stay.
The staff here was so sweet and made our stay lovely. Admittedly we don’t normally spend quite so much on our accommodation, but in this instance it was worth every BHT. Needless to say if it is good enough for the King & Queen of Sweden (2005 stayed here) then it’s good enough for me!
