Today, I saw two pigs roped to the top of a bus.  The Nicaraguans didn´t know what I was laughing at. 

A 4AM wake up call made us scramble to the bus to save the best seats in the house: away from el BANO!! During our crossing, we passed el lago de Nicaragua. The Lake of Nicaragua has two volcanoes in the midst of it as well as a few islands! It was my first time seeing a volcano, let alone two at once! We came to the border expecting it to be as smooth as our other experience. Unfortunately, we were wrong. All of the fruit that we had in our backpacks either had to be eaten or thrown away! …

We tried to get from Montezuma to Granada is one day but we missed the last bus from Rivas so we stayed the night there.  We found a hotel and started to unpack when we noticed hundreds of flying ants escaping from the walls onto the bed. So we packed up and found a new place which was relatively bug free.
