This all inclusive resort provides all meals and snacks. Breakfast is your choice of a full American breakfast buffet with on the spot cooking stations or simply a delightful continental breakfast. Lunch is a tantalizing buffet of cold and warm dishes including snacks, pizzas, pasta, fresh fruits and salads. Lunchtime also features on the spot cooking stations. After a long day of play, dinner is a welcome treat! At Los Almendros, prepare to be impressed with a buffet style display and on the spot cooking stations. Theme buffets are served twice a week! For additional lunch and snacks, you have a free choice among a selection of restaurants within the Riu Resort. All beverages are provided including unlimited domestic beverages (soft and alcoholic drinks) until 02.00 a.m., access to all bars within the Riu Resort and in-room mini-bar and liquor dispenser re-stocking.From Tuesday 1 st of August on we will offer as specialty restaurants an Italian Restaurant ( instead of the Mediterranean Restaurant )and a Steakhouse .These restaurants still serve with 2 Seatings .1st Seating from 06:30 p.m. 8:00 p.m. and 2 nd Seating from 8:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m. .Reservations requiredRelax in the sun or get up and have some fun! I vacation in the Puerto Plata quite often and have stayed and visited various hotels. For the best bang for your buck the Riu Mambo is your best bet. The Mambo is part of 3 Riu hotels all part of the same complex. There is very little difference between then and you have access to all the same amenities. The one key difference is that the beach in front of the Mambo hotel is a little nicer then the other two.

The hotel is all inclusive. The one thing that stands out is how friendly the staff is, there is no pressure at all to tip and they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are quickly and discreetly cleaned and if you don’t like swimming in the ocean, you can choose from any of the 3 pools on the resort to cool off.

Overall the hotel is very well priced and by far the best value for your dollar in Puerto Plata.
