Ritz Carlton Jimbaran Reviews
Thin Crust PIzzas! Jan 11, 2010
After almost two weeks of Indonesian food we were starting to crave our salads and thin crust pizzas so we headed to Sami Sami. The service was horrible. The hostess made us wait for our table even though we had a reservation. The waiter took the orders of other tables who were seated after us without even glancing our way. We finally had to flag them down to place our order. It seemed like they only had two servers who were proficient enough in Japanese and English to take people's orders and the rest of the staff were food runners.
The food was ok. We ordered a salad and it was not even dressed and the wait staff provided no olive oil until we asked for some. The pizzas were good though and properly cooked and thin.
Keep in mind that Sami Sami is located at the Ayana which is quite far from Jimbaran's main drag so you'll be paying at least 40,000 IDR in cab fare each way.
Overall: Go there if you want good pizzas and you don't care about the service ie you're desperate for thin crusts. Although I noticed that PJ's at the Four Seasons also serves pizzas but we didn't get a chance to try their version.
Damage: $55 for two including wine
