“Yippee!” Time for some underwater action!  Having grown up by the sea and being a regular(ish) swimmer back home, after 30 days plus on the sunny road without a splash it’s time to wet my head.  I am very fortunate as Bede, also a diver, is just as keen as I am (even more so) to dust-off his rusty diving skills.  It’s been 2 months for me since I was last submersed but 3 years (!!!) for him.  There is a dive trip provider here in Riomaggiore also which is great! ...

This is where it all started

Riomaggiore is just such a relaxing place to stay in, after my flight was delayed and a lot of pottering about on trains and platforms for 13 hours, arriving in the little town was like suddenly taking a load off my back. The houses are all brightly coloured, and it really has a holiday feel to it. Getting off the train, the first thing you are greeted by is a sight of the fantastically blue sea, sparkling and clear waters framed by dramatic rocky cliffs. I knew I was going to like it here. ...
