This blog details the two months i spent traveling around Chile, Peru, Argentina & Brazil in the summer of 2007. At the moment it is just a map of the route I took accompanied by the photos. I intend to include a written account when i find time!

this are some of my many pics that i had taken from my trips of this year 2008 since february to brazil - Rio de Janeiro - Sao Paulo then on June to Cuzco, Arequipa, Ica, Mancora (In Peru) july 10 to 28 : Ecuador - quito - guayaquil - Montañitas,August 6 to 20 : Colombia - Santa Marta - Bogota - Cartagena.

My first trip to South America to visit my friend in his homeland. This was the greatest adventure of my life.

23 Feb: Met up with Errol (Pom form Hostel in BA) and we headed out to a street party in Lapa. All sorts of dancing in the streets and we had our first experience of caprinhas from the street vendors. Franz Ferdinand were playing at a venue there and we could hear it pretty clearly from outside. 24 Feb: We went to see a local act called Monobloco in Lapa. A fab city, no matter how much the crime rate is, it has to be a perfect city to visit and start the world tour!! People are lovely, very health conscious! The city administration blocks the road next to beach on the weekends for automobiles... and you can see girls & boys, women & men in their thongs and shorts running, excercising and keeping fit!

I spent a couple of days in Rio during this summer. I went to Rio in order to attend an exhbition with the people of the Embassy of France.

Rio. Wow. This place had certainly been built up for us - and it lived up to it every bit. We stayed in Ipanema beach (after hearing from every single person who stayed in Copocabana that they had been robbed). Ipanema beach is where the young beautifup people come to sun themselves.. they lived excatly up to the brazilian reputation here.. girl in dental floss bikinis and guys in short shorts.
