Rio Coco Cafe Jan 27, 2012
Rio Coco beans Cafe is newest addition to the Utila Island. Young couple of Americans decided to make Utila home and introduce coffee from their farm to the people of Honduras. Actually father of the girl owns large fields of coffee in the Nicaragua, and it is one of those companies that help local growers to place their goods on the market and get the fair price for it.

Anyway, coffee shop is totally relaxed, in the style of the island. Free internet, mixed coffee drinks and some cakes make happy returning costumers… They also have nice small dock where you can hang out and jump in the water. They have two different roasts, and I like the darker one. This place has the best coffee on the island, which is not too hard to have due to instant coffee mania, and just generally week coffee culture on the island.

Warmly recommended

We are glad that you all love the coffee at the Rio Coco Cafe! We love serving high altitude coffee that is packed with flavor, and we love meeting new friends at the cafe. The best is we send our profits to pay teacher salaries and buy school supplies for our project along the Rio Coco in Nicaragua! Thanks.
