Rincón is a municipality of Puerto Rico founded in 177. It is located in the Western Coastal Valley, west of Añasco and Aguada. Rincón is spread over 8 wards and Rincón Pueblo (The downtown area and the administrative center of the city). Late arrival to Rincon

Apparently when you go to Puerto Rico you are supposed to book a hotel and transportation in advance. Being the procastinator that I am, my sister and I arrived in Aguadilla thinking we would travel by bus to Rincon for the night. In Puerto Rico, there is no cross-island bus service and no "budget" accomodation. We ended up renting a car and driving to Rincon where we then could NOT find a place to stay (It was the 4th of July, might I add). I went into one shop looking for what I though…

I noticed the map has my trip on the wrong side of the island.  Rincon and Jobos is on the northwest side of Puerto Rico.

Today could have been the perfect day if I wouldn't have had that hangover from last night. I guess ol girl can't drink as much as she used to. haha None the less I woke up at 7 am and tip toed out of our room (the seahorse) to get a few pictures of the beach in the morning. Rainy season = GREEN!

this is the first time i've been in p.r. during the 'rainy season' and it's SO GREEN! the hills that are usually a dark burnt brown are a beautiful vibrant color and everything just seems overflowing with life. even the birds seem to be out in full strength. yesterday i could see the magnificent frigatebirds (that's their real name!) from our veranda soaring overhead....amazing. oh! and i finally went diving off desecheo the other day; two dives at two different reefs around the islan…

While in college, I spent a semester in Puerto Rico taking general education courses. This was an interesting experience and quite the learning experience. While there, I maximized travel time while minimizing study time ;)
