Riki Tiki Tavi Kampot Reviews
Riverfront Dining at Riki Tiki Tavi... Aug 23, 2011
This is probably the most "sophisticated" dining experience in the coastal town of Kampot in Cambodia (except for maybe "the rusty keyhole" down the road, haha)...This is not too expensive, and just right for a relaxed evening.
It's got a very nicely done wood building engulfed with tropical plants and trees, with upstairs dining area. Really nice to sit there and enjoy the view of the mountains, street activity below, and boats passing by on the river. I had an extra nice experience watching a storm move in from the distance.
The food in general is all of a high standard, and there's a very good happy hour with 1 for 1 deals. But the best thing about this place is the dish called "Saraman Curry". It's a traditional Cambodian dish that is made to perfection here. Kind of like a spicy red sauce, with peanut sauce in it, and tender chunks of beef. Amazing. I would go back for it a hundred times.
