Rifugio Tommaso Pedrotti
Rifugio Tommaso Pedrotti Dolomites Reviews
Lodge in the beautiful Dolomites Jul 18, 2005
This quite large lodge has it all. There are about a 120 beds in the summer season. In winter season there are just a few bed available. The lodge is at an altitude of 2491m. It's clean, but the shower facilities are simple.
The bunk beds are fine. There are dorm rooms for ten persons.
The kitchen makes high quality food and it's great to have dinner, soup or breakfast when you're hungry. Their baked potatoes are delicious, just as the minestrone soup.
Food and drinks are quite expensive, but that's normal in mountain lodges. The food has to come from villages in the valley. And there are no supermarkets up in the mountains.
It's only a few hours to the top of Cima Tosa where you can build a camp and watch sunset and sunrise! Less than only half an hour walk from the lodge starts the via ferrate route.
Other lodges are a couple of hours away, but not to far. The view you have from the lodge is great.
Definitely a quality lodge.
