If you are going to Mauritius and you enjoy horseback riding, you shouldn't miss the Horse riding farm in Mon Choisy. In the north of Mauritius. There you will be able to ride on a former racing horse, that either retired or that can't run anymore on the racing track, but will be still fast. I promise! It's an outstanding and amazing experience. Price will be around 40 Euros for a ride of 1,5 hours. Recommended for beginners as well.

Also worth a visit is the Crocodile park "Le Vanille" in the south of Mauritius. Alone the landscape to reach the south is amazing. Nice landscape.

If you are interested in Hinduism, a trip to the holy lake in the middle of the country might be interesting for you.

Absolutly great is the "Casela" Bird Park that can be also found in the middle of the country. Beside birds you will be able to see some turtles, lions, zebras, dears, and other animals. Most of them can be touched. For an extra fee of around 40 Euro you will be also able to touch the lions! Highly recommended for children as well.
