Yummy corn Yummy at "Rico Mote Rico" Jul 16, 2009
If you go to Santa Clara Market, there's a place that you can't miss. At least I didn't. My second time at the market, I went straight there, hahaha.
Well, I love corn and this place just sells it. I saw people walking around with small bags and a spoon and this is the kind of food they sell here. It's a bag full of different types of corn and you can also get some fritada (fried pork fat) and spicy sauce. The food comes in 2 sizes US$1 and US$ 0,50. I got the small one, full with corn: toasted corn, boiled regular corn, boiled chochos (another grain), boiled huge corn (mote). Just added salt and aji. The ladies at this place are very kind and friendly, hehe. They didn't have any problem about answering all kind of questions to the crazy Peruvian, lol I know next time, I'm in town I'll go straight there :) Part of the First time in Ecuador, but definitely not the last one :) travel blog
