Richmond is composed of many little islands in the delta of the fraser river. The 2nd largest island which is Sea Island is the home of YVR, Vancouvers International airport. Because of Richmonds location in the delta, the soil is very rich and is great for agricultural. One downside though is that it is at a major risk for floods from the fraser river.
