Richland Vacation Guide
Richland is nicknamed "Atomic City" for its long and storied past in the nuclear industry, and the city as we know it today was created during World War Two as part of the Manhatten project.
Historically Richland has been the home of many plutonium creation plants which are used for nuclear weapons, today it is the home of several nuclear power plants, and nuclear waste clean up facilities (in progress).
Today cold war buffs can see the first ever nuclear reactor.
Also Richland is home of a branch campus of Washington state University, a small asian american population, several vinyards, badger mountain, and the Columbia River.
