A jewel in the heart of Harlem May 14, 2010
On Second avenue in Harlem, Ricardo's is a little hidden with its dark exterior, but on a beautiful night, it lights up the sidewalk a bit. It is a great spot whether you want to sit inside or sit out in the back. The staff are great, the food is good and the drink are popping (as long as you don't order an Alabama Slammer-they had to look it up online and didn't do a great job). Even the garlic bread is awesome. The shrimp is great. The salads are fresh. Let's see, what else did we order? Well, whether you get an entree or an appetizer, you are sure to be pleased.

Parking is usually pretty good and you might only have to walk 1 or 2 blocks from your car. Ricardo's seems to be a part of the Debrouillard Restaurant Group and there is a Poets Den Gallery & Theater on 108th and Cerviche Restaurant is at 2312 Second ave.

It is a cozy spot, so if you're gonna go with a large group, you might want to call in advance and get more information. Eventhough Ricardo's is in Harlem, you feel like you're downtown. It is a great spot for a local, but tourists will enjoy themselves as well.
