Riad El Ghalia Hotel Fez
Riad El Ghalia Hotel Fez Reviews
a bit Expensive but luxurious Jan 23, 2009
Again we were the only guests, this time for two nights. It was hard to find this hotel. The taxi dropped us of near the Medina. We had to pay a boy to bring us to the actual building because in the maze of the Medina you get lost immediately (which at itself is charming but not while dragging your bags around). The hotel was very luxurious and the staff very helpful. Our room (I think they even called it a ‘suite’, that was a first for us!) was great. The bathroom was also good (even with nice white bathrobes). Dinner in the hotel was too expensive but the food was good. Breakfast (which was included) was a real treat, each morning they surprised us with special snacks.
All in all it was a nice experience staying there. You can walk into the Medina from your hotel. You guaranteed get lost but that’s the charm of Fes; the tanneries and the markets in the narrow streets. Part of the Morocco 2009 travel blog |
