Great atmosphere, Service & Location *repeat guest* May 18, 2011
I've stayed at several Marrakech riads, but this one is certainly the best, all-around, "bang for the buck" that I've experienced in the city.

The location is excellent: literally a 5-minute walk to the main square, or a 15-minute drive from the airport or train station. It's located in the Douar Graoua area of the medina. The entire staff was genuinely friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay.

The decor and layout is beautiful. More African-vibe than Arabic, which most riads lean towards in the city. The food is also fantastic. The price for the experience received is great.

Of course, it is a small, boutique hotel, so it does not have a pool, fitness centre or room service, but there is a jacuzzi and free wi-fi. There are tables/seating on the ground floor, as well as tables, loungers and umbrellas on a 2-level, rooftop terrace.

If you're looking for a great riad around 100EU/night (incl breakfast) in Marrakech, I definitely recommend giving Riad Dar Najat (or its smaller sister Riad Bab Marrakech) a look. Check out the pics and decide for yourselves!

The best riad in Marrakech Aug 14, 2011
We stayed in this riad for 4 nights. From the start we had the best level of service from the owner of this riad. His communications were very fast and he even arranged our airport transfer.

The riad is located in the middle of the old mendina, it is a 5 minute walk away from the main Jemma el Fna square. The location is perfect, close enough to all of the action but far enough to be away from all the noise.

The riad itself has recently been renovated and it looks perfect, our room had a large double bed, aircon, en-suite bathroom, everything one needs for a pleasant stay.

The staff at the riad were very friendly, they spoke good English and were happy to help us with whatever we needed.

The food at this riad was the best, it was so delicious. We had the kefta tagine one night and the chicken tagine on another, they were both cooked to perfection, highly recommended.

There is a large jacuzzi on one of the roof terraces, it was great to sit in it to cool down after a hard days shopping.

There is another roof terrace with large sofas were you can sit and chillout.

My one and only choice for Marrakesh May 30, 2011
After being the 4th time in my Moroccan home, I have to recommend this place again to you! If you are searching for an excellent base to get around in Marrakesh, you did the right decision with Dar Najat. Located in the middle of the medina it is easy and fast to get on main square Jemna el Fna and every other spot around the old town.

Inside Riad Dar Najat you will be surrounded by Moroccan art and furnitures, arranged with love for every single detail. For sure with this style it is the coolest Riad in town! Adding to this the friendly stuff, working for your maximum pleasure with good service and traditional Moroccan dishes prepared by the 'kitchen queens'. Olivier the manager help you with your travel plans - if you plan to go for a 'one-day-trip', or longer visits maybe to Essaouira, just ask him and he will organize for you! For sure you can trust this service in price and time!

I will never change and just if my budget is limited I choose the smaller and little cheaper Bab Marrakesh - which is also managed by Olivier!

Oasis in the middle of the old medina of Marrakech Dec 18, 2011
This was our third visit to Marrakech and we stayed at Riad Dar Najat.

What a great riad this is, the location is perfect. It is close enough to the square (around 5 minutes walk) but far enough to get away from the hussle and bussle of the medina. Once you enter the riad you are in peace and tranquility.

The riad has been tastefully decorated with authentic african artwork, it almost looks like an art gallery in places. There are 7 rooms and there were also two roof terraces. There were sunloungers to use if you wanted to "chill out" and catch the sun. There was also a nice Jacuzzi on the terrace, it was heated and very much appreciated after a hard days shopping. The riad is in a very quite area and you can get a very good nights sleep there.

The food at the riad was delicious, the breakfast was freshly cooked every morning and the evening meal (chicken tagine) we had was the best we had during our weeks stay in Marrakech.

The rooms were nice and clean and they had everything that we needed in them. There was aircon fitted to each room with individual controllers provided in the rooms. All of the rooms were ensuite and the bathrooms were nice and big. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the riad was kept spotless.

We will definitely return to Riad Dar Najat as we left there feeling like part of the family, we were made to feel like this riad was like our own holiday home.

Transport yourself to an Alladin's cave of wonders Jul 03, 2010
The Riad Dar Najat is only 5 minutes away from the famous historic square, the Djemma El Fna in Marrakech. It is an oasis of calm and beauty away from the heat and dust of Marrakech. The charming French owner, Olivier, is laid back and informative. Watch out for the fierce guard tortoises which wander around the second floor, well, watch out that you don't step on them, that is!
watch out for him - he's only tiny…

...definitely the coolest Riad in the Medina of Marrakech Feb 05, 2010
My wife and me had a relaxed arrival at Marrakesh because we already booked our next Riad before leaving Essaouira. We felt save because the pictures in our new Guide ‘Riads and Villas for less than 100€’ looked good and the atmosphere seems to be what we wanted. So we only have to find it! After walking on the paths of the Medina we asked a boy for showing us the way and after 5 minutes we arrived at Dar Najat.

In short time after entering, we sit on the roof terrace, got both a fresh orange juice and had a nice talk with Oliver, who gives us an overview about where we are located and what are the interesting places around us. The Dar Najat is just short way to Djemaa el Fna and in the heart of the medina. Oliver is a really relaxed and kind guy. Also the staff of the Riad is very friendly and got a great hospitality. And this was getting more and more, so that we felt like being home.

The Riad itself is a real comfortable, clean place – nicely decorated with pictures of Oliver. The terrace with the nice Jacuzzi is a real chilling-hotspot. Always nice music and a team which always cares about you. Try out the Tajine with beef, plums and almonds! You will love it! The kitchen staff is the real secret of Dar Najat and a special recommendation!

The rooms are beatiful decorated and clean.

To sum up all the above, I will again be there from the 28.06.-30.06. without checking an other possibility for accommodation! I can recommend the Riad everybody who likes to have a price mid-range place to stay for good quality!
