Rhino Hotel Kyoto

This hotel is a bit pricy (We payed $110/night for each room) and the only reason we stayed there was because it was new years and everything else was booked, but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was a 2 minute walk from the Subway station which was very well located, only a few subway stops from most places of interest. There is a Mos Burger (Japanese fast food chains with decent burgers) right downstairs, there is an arcade a few shops away, a bar, Kam's Bar (read that review). The rooms have large beds, equivalent to an american full or queen size. They come with nice chairs, a desk, a fridge, and a tv. There is a good amount of floor space. On a few of the nights, we had people sleep over and were able to spaciously fit 2 people on the bed and 2 people on the floor (late drunk night, and subways weren't running for people to go back to their own places). So to sum it up, you can easily fit numerous people in these rooms, and the front desk, is on the second floor, so you don't need to pass by them when you're bringing a million people to your room. Also, this was the ONLY place we stayed at while in Japan during which you didn't have to turn your key in everytime you left the hotel, which is convenient, but theres a chance you'll lose it, I guess? The bathrooms are also fairly nice in these rooms. The hotel has a buffet style restaurant for $15-$25 and a gym and pool for a daily use fee of $10.

Overall this is a superb hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a little bit of luxury in Kyoto. If I left anything out, or if you'd just like to know something, feel free to message me!
