We spent a leisurely morning break from the bus in Rothenburg, a completely restored walled city.  Time to stroll, shop, and enjoy everything we wanted.  The narrow little streets off the main square were crowded with wonderful little shops selling to the tourist trade.  Porcelin, pewter, fine linen, lace and almost anything else you could imagine.  I happen to love medieval armor and my wife likes porcelin so we had plenty to see.  We ate sandwiches and tried ...

The long bus ride never bothered me. I had my eyes glued to the large viewing windows most of the time watching all the wonderful scenery go by. The highways had an array of vehicles new to me and seeing the speed at which some travelled on the autobahns was impressive and scarey at the same time.
