Relax in the Rex Feb 29, 2012
This was the companies hotel of choice and now I can see way. The hotel is very well positioned in Stockholm, It's about 20 minuses from T-Centralen (the main stain station in Stockholm, that)when we arrived we were met by a friendlily receptionist. The rooms are very nice but even though my room was a double it was a little small. Breakfast is served and its a continental breakfast. The hotel is a few minutes from the main high street and perfect location with a few bars and places to eat.

Cosy Hotel Jan 20, 2010
The REX hotel is a nice little hotel situated around 1 kilometre from Stockholm city centre in the narrow street named Luntmakagatan. In this street and the surrounding area you can find many small and good Asian restaurants; these were the exact words from the young female receptionist.

When you enter the reception area it feels like walking in to a living room, it was a quite nice feeling. Behind an ordinary desk a friendly female receptionist was sitting and smiling towards me as I entered; she welcomed me as I entered and found me quickly in the system. She was fast and effective which was nice; it had been a long day at the office and I arrived at the hotel around 7.30 pm.

I was given a room on the 4th floor, which was an upgrade from a single to a double room. The elevator up was small and slow but it took me in the right direction which I appreciated. The room was nice, spacious without being impressive. It was situated just under the ceiling, so I had a nice view over the street from the window.

It was a nice minimalist room with a strange shaped bathroom. The bathroom was kept in dark stone, and it was warm even though it was at this level. The room was shaped like a U with an entrance in the middle and a shower in one side and a long access hall towards a window overlooking the street.

The hotel was a 3 star and there was no mini bar but otherwise there was all you wanted in a room. There was a small desk and the receptionist had given me an access code to the wireless internet, so I was covered pretty well. The bed was great which is important for me at these one night hotels. Even though the room was kept in a very clean design I felt is as cozy and I had a good feeling there.

The hotel looked really small from outside and at a first impression with only 2 to 6 rooms on each of the 4 floors, but first impression cheated due to the hotel also consisted of a building on the other side of the cozy little backyard. The hotel was situated in some old street houses and it was narrow but cosy.

The breakfast was simple but satisfying, there were the basic stuff but I did not find any bacon or sausages. The breakfast was served in a heated glass terrace in the backyard between the two houses that was the hotel. The glass terrace was nice and bright; it felt very nice sitting outside surrounded by snow and ice. There was not much pressure on the breakfast when I was there; I guess most of the tourists were sleeping long before heading out on the cold city streets of Stockholm.

It was a nice and cozy 3 star hotel that didn't try to be more than it was. There was also a fair ratio between price and quality hotel
