Restuarant Au Grand Mayeur
Restuarant Au Grand Mayeur Reviews
Too load to eat and enjoy Feb 21, 2009
Situated on one of the many wonderful squares in Brussels; the Grand Sablon, you can find a strange combination of a French and Russian restaurant. From the outside the restaurant is filled with menu cards in handwritten chalk on chalk boards, cafe tables and a lot of decorations in the window so it is impossible to see how it looks inside.
Inside you have the typical wooden Brussels type of authentic look-a-like decorations. The tables and chairs are nice to sit in but there is no authentic ambiance. The food is no ringer, but what irritated me the most was the power of the power on the sound from the Gypsy or Russian band playing all the time. In the beginning is was rather funny but as they kept on and went closer to your table I must say that I had enough. Part of the Belgium, Brussels and more 2006-2009 and still counting travel blog |
