A fabulous Spanish meal Mar 15, 2013
We wanted to eat in a place where the locals came and boy did we manage. Not far from our hotel we followed some locals into a place that looked like everything that we had imagined. Inside it was already quite full around the bar and there where people discussing everywhere.
Around on corner of the bar it was like Fellini in Spanish; there were whole families of several generations sitting at long tables. One corner of the restaurant was luckily quite empty when we arrived and we manage to take a corner table where we had a great view of a large part of the restaurant.
The interior was in the traditional Spanish dark wood, bright yellow and red walls with old agricultural equipment hanging on them, a white ceiling with dark wood beams. All the tables covered with checked tablecloths.
We ordered some local red wine and a mix of their best tapas that they would organize for us. The dishes came constantly the coming 1,5 hour and they were astonishing; we had everything from tuna, veal, squids, fried cheese, steak and so on. The quality was unbelievable and there were almost too much of it. Even though I was full I ended the meal with a piece of fabulous local cake. It was truly a fabulous place to enjoy a local meal.
