Awesome restaurant Jun 11, 2015
This is the best restaurant we dined in Barcelona. We had the best paella here and that means a lot considering we ate Paella every meal for almost a week stay in Barcelona and should have been tired/expert of what a good paella taste like.

There is a long queue starting 4pm just to get in to this restaurant. That says a lot about the place. It is worth queuing though as we absolutely loved everything up to the desserts. It was heavenly delicious!

If that isn't enough, we find the price cheap relative to the restaurants we dined around Barcelona. It was really awesome experience and we wish we could eat there all the time but they only open for dinner and it isnt easy to queue in time and for couple hours just to eat there.

Felt like an attraction in itself though :)

One of the best Jul 16, 2012
Great location, lovely and fast service.

The best Valenciana paella with chiken and rabbit I have ever tasted! Can't recommend it enough.

Go for Menu Special La Fonda, it's just 16 euros per 3 courses menu.

Make sure to be there around 12.40am for 1pm lunch opening or around 7.10pm for 7.30pm dinner opening to make sure you get seating without need to wait. Although the restaurant is in a very touristic area it is frequented also by local people. Many locals as well as tourists who know about the place are queuing to make sure they will get first seating.

My friend told me some time ago that he first visited La Fonda back in 1997 and there were people queuing up to get a table. If they are queuing now as well the place must be good!
