Restaurant Thomas Lyon Reviews
Facing the Textile and Decorative arts Museums!!!! Jul 17, 2009
As I've heard since years!people talking about this "canteen",at lunch today and as guest( as often! )I discover this restaurant opened since 2001 by Thomas Ponson,a guy from Cornas in the Rhône valley(his winelist offers a good selection of Côtes du Rhône wines).
This restaurant is located just in the street facing the Textile Museum, rue de la Charité,near Bellecour square.I had as starter a salad with ordinary frozen shrimps,as main course flavorful spareribs cooked like osso bucco, with purée and a small duo of desserts.
It seems to me that this restaurant is suitable for a quick lunch after or before the Museums visit but the menu à la carte seems too expensive!
a trendy canteen!
The chef has opened this year the Thomas Café for tapas opposite his restaurant and recently nearby the Thomas Comptoir for à la plancha and spit roasted food, all popular ways of cooking!
