Restaurant Puk Copenhagen Reviews
Really nice in the summer Jun 04, 2010
The restaurant PUK is situated in one of the oldest buildings in Copenhagen; the building is dated back to 1539, where the Danish King Christian the 3rd established a royal court brewery on the premises and the area was one of the few that didn't burn down during all the fires and battles of Copenhagen in the 18th century. The bar and restaurant dates back to 1750 and the basement with it large windows and huge wooden construction beams tells stories of the old days way back to when the Danish King Christian the 7th and his mistress; BootKatrine came down there in the end of 17th century.
I very rarely go inside because I prefer to stay outside at the little square at their outdoor service. It is a place I like to visit when the sun is shining and you have some warmth in the air because it is a quiet place of Copenhagen and yet still in the middle of the city. Their prices are fair and the service is nice and very friendly towards tourist. If it get cold during the evening you will be provided with a blanket.
