Restaurant Mexico Stavanger Reviews
A good place for tex-mex food Nov 13, 2009
Mexico is a tex-mex restaurant located in one of the old warehouses right at the harbour, just a few steps from the marked.
This restaurant was recommended to us by the reseption staff at the hotel where we stayed. A very good recommendation indeed. The restaurant was founded in 1994 and I have passed it several times, but never eaten there before now.
Walking into the restaurant we were met by a friendly waiter. He showed us to a table and asked if we wanted the lunch menu, which they serve until 17:00, or the full menu. He then described each dish briefly and after listening to our wishes suggested a combo menu.
I had the ”lunch combi” which was one chicken burrito, one Flautas de Pollo and nachos. A very good choise. The size of the portion was just perfect for lunch. They also serve starters, vegetarian dishes, fish, chicken, meat and of course desserts. All this was served very efficiently by friendly and helpful staff in an informal and warm atmosphere.
There is also an outdoor area if you smoke. Outdoor during the winter in Norway you might ask? Well, no problem! They have heaters and thick fleece blankets.
Restaurant Mexico is open:
Monday – Thursday 12 – 22
Friday – Saturday 12 – 23
Sunday 13 – 22
The bar is open from Wednesday – Sunday until 01:00.
They also offer a take away menu which can be ordered every day until 19:00. A catering service is available too.
I will absolutely eat here again!
