The Grand Sablon is just a wonderful place in Brussels. It is a square with a lot of the Belgian ambiance but it is also a square in the high end of the scale and it has not the honest daily life ambiance that you can find on a square like Jeau de Balle which is situated less than 15 minutes walk away from this place.
The restaurant L'entrée des Artistes is situated on one of the long sides of the Grand place du Sablon and is a quite small restaurant but filled with sincere passion and warmth. The food was great and we had focused on some traditional Belgian dishes which turned out to be great. We had mussels, local sausage and tartar and some good Belgian beer. The waiters were very friendly and had the surplus to joke with everybody and it made the atmosphere light and warm even though the cold outside had frozen all customers. It is definitely a place that I will visit again of one of my walks of the city.
