Restaurant Javier Lima Reviews
Javier Restaurant Oct 24, 2008
Javier is a small restaurant located in Barranco, in the way to the beach. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, but Javier is well known but everyone.
I have been there for lunch and dinner. They serve Peruvian Traditional dishes. They serve different dishes like:
+cebiche: was a good one,
+anticuchos: the portion is huge and comes with baked potato.
+chorizo: I was dissapointed with this, the portion is really small.
+salad: fresh and tasty
+corn with cheese: the sauce was delicious.
They have a wide wine list, but only have 2 wines in stock :( when you order a beer, you wouldn't get a personal bottle, but a large one, haha.
It's a 3 floor building with a nice view from the see. In order to make you go to their restaurant, they offer complimentary drinks which are small, but free, hehe.

The Restaurant Javier is a great little place in Barranco, a suburb of Lima. You can choose to sit inside on the lower level or walk upstairs to sit on the nice decks. The food was very good and ranged from s./10 to s./25 per person for a meal. I had the lasagne which was more than enough for two people to share and a salas of tomate, pepino, y palta! They had Peruvian food, italian food, and lots of soups and salads. Both were very delicious. They also served a variety of wines, beer, and other drinks. It was very nice to sit outside at night (a little cold but I believe they had heaters) and I am sure in the summer it would be very pleasant. Service was fast, efficient, and friendly. There were quite a few tourists in addition to Peruvians there so I think it is a place that everybody will enjoy!
