From the outside you would never guess that this house actually was a great place to enter. When you first enter the place you find a multipurpose place. At first you look at the address twice before walking in; a brasserie housed in a posh 19th-century residence! Inside you find modernity and nostalgia meet behind the stately façade in a really calm and relaxing atmosphere.
There is no etiquette to speak of when you first enter; the first thing you see is a lounge bar with access to a huge garden; around the corner from there the restaurants develop from room to room. We were 8 persons so we had the luck of having a room for ourselves. The food was just excellent; we enjoyed both the service and the dishes. The food we had was traditional Belgian and we were very satisfied. After dinner we went back to the lounge bar for some beer and further talk. It was a great relaxing, no-nonsense place with a wonderful atmosphere. Part of the Belgium, Brussels and more 2006-2009 and still counting travel blog |
